Excessive levels of Phenylalanine (50% Aspartame) have been found in the brains of those who consume large amounts of Aspartame, especially when consumed with carbohydrates despite not having PKU (Phenylketonuria/genetic disorder) which can ultimately lead to death.
Not only that, excessive Phenylalanine can decrease serotonin levels causing emotional disorders such as Depression proven in those who chronically use Aspartame and is extremely harmful to Fetuses and Infants, and is less efficiently metabolized by humans (than rodents; Dr. Louis J. ELsas).
ACTUAL EVENTS SHOWED POTENCY OF ASPARTAME:
“Troops of Desert Storm were “treated” to large amounts of aspartame-sweetened beverages, which had been heated to over 86 degrees F in the Saudi Arabian sun. Many of them returned home with numerous disorders similar to what has been seen in persons who have been chemically poisoned by Formaldehyde. The free methanol in the beverages may have been a contributing factor in these illnesses. Other breakdown products of aspartame such as DKP may also have been a factor.”
“G.D. Searle conducted animal experiments on the safety of DKP. The FDA found numerous experimental errors occurred, including “clerical errors, mixed-up animals, animals not getting drugs they were supposed to get, pathological specimens lost because of improper handling,” and many other errors. These sloppy laboratory procedures may explain why both the test and control animals had 16 times more brain tumors than would be expected in experiments of this length.
In an ironic twist, shortly after these experimental errors were discovered, the FDA used guidelines recommended by G.D. Searle to develop the industry-wide FDA standards for good laboratory practices.” (??!!??)
John Cook in his article “An Aspartame Nightmare” published in the Wednesday Journal gave an account of how his 6-8 diet drinks daily led to his increasing craves for more aspartame-sweetened drinks, only to be paid off by symptoms which became chronic and far-reaching with blood testing of Phenylalanine level at 80 mg/dl (no PKU) and abnormal brain function and brain damage yet “improved tremendously when he kicked his Aspartame habit”.
“International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) and the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) have filed a petition requesting that the Agency amend the standard of identity for milk and 17 other dairy products to provide for the use of any safe and suitable sweetener as an optional ingredient.”
This means that in the very near future, FDA may approve the label “milk” to contain any artificial sweeteners including aspartame without listing them which will not only impact on you but your children’s health greatly.
